"Eddie & Lavonne"
Current Owner, CEO

Eddie Holland has worked at the furniture store his whole life and became owner in the mid 1980s.  Eddie grew up in the store and was mentored by his Dad to care for customers; a trait that he has passed down to his son, Bryan.

Eddie also worked for 3 years in the 1970s for Levitz Furniture in Greensboro, NC.  He began working at this store in Greensboro after college; and, the new Holland Furniture building that Eddie built in 2001 was inspired by that store.  In fact, since owning Holland Furniture, Eddie has expanded the store to include a warehouse and three showrooms.

Eddie has always been supported in the business by his wife Lavonne.  While in Greensboro, Lavonne was studying to be a teacher at UNC Greensboro.  She has always supported her husband so that he could spend time at the store.

Eddie strives to carry on the mission that was started in 1920, of providing quality furniture at affordable prices while providing great service.

"Gene & Jo"
2nd Generation

Gene Holland worked in the furniture store his whole life and became the owner in 1941.  Gene believed, "A person needs a good pair of shoes and a good mattress, because if you not in one you're in the other."  Many people today still share stories of how he helped them purchase furniture when they first got married, with little to no money.  Gene loved people and worked to provide for the community.  Gene's wife, Jo Holland, also worked in the furniture store after her nursing career and raising her children.

Summey Holland founded Holland Furniture Store in 1920, the original location was just up the street from the current showroom.  Many customers have come into the store over the years and commented that "Summey had a heart of gold."  Summey loved working with people in the community and left a great legacy for his family.
